MAKING YOU MOVE
SINCE 1999
Fuelled by self-expression and a love of music, Boodang is a prominent name in the Canadian music scene. For over 20 years, the promoter has been one of the most loved and prolific event production companies in Western Canada.
Steadily growing since 1999, the event promoter has brought in some of the most accomplished and up-and-coming artists to their shows and festivals. Including the likes of Tiesto, ZHU, Gorgon City, and many other internationally acclaimed artists.
In early 2001, they threw the first ever dance music event supported by a new city bylaw in Edmonton. By working with, rather than against Edmonton’s officials and policies, the promoters secured a lasting place in the city as a beloved and respected community enterprise.
Embracing the dance community and culture, they have made connecting with people and their love of music a staple in their business. They have created an inclusive party atmosphere designed to unite all walks of life, where people can express themselves on the dance floor. Embracing this culture has made them a stand out among the sea of promoters.
They believe in building unique brands and experiences at their shows and festivals, which includes having diverse lineups. No genre is off-limits for their events, which makes them a well-rounded and highly-inclusive promoter. Stellar lineups are a given, but the company also focuses on sparing no expense on production and decor, which has allowed the company to produce record-breaking presales before artists and performers are even released.
One thing is for sure – Boodang events sell fast, and sell out.
Since becoming a household name, the event promoter has continued to keep people coming from across North America to experience their events. Event attendees are almost always returning customers, with many fans attending any and all Boodang-sponsored events loyally for years.
These events include Elements Music Festival, which was nominated for an International Dance Music Award (IDMA), Scream – which is Canada’s longest running Halloween festival, Frequency, Soundwave and Boodang’s newest festival Bomfest. Bomfest began in 2018 and was immediately a massive success with thousands of attendees, and has become one of the biggest festivals in Western Canada to date.
Boodang’s team-wide passion for dance music and attention to detail has made for a winning combination and has continued to create a lasting legacy in the dance culture and community. With more and more DJs on the rise, and dance music continuing to grow worldwide, they are sure to carry on throwing the most attended and well-loved events in Western Canada for years to come.
